I am selecting 10 committed registrants age 35+ through the summer of 2026 to receive a full custom Come as You Are portrait experience, worth $500.
You’ve already registered via Facebook or the carmenrstudio.ca website, this is your final step to confirm you’d love to be considered. I’m creating a heartfelt experience for deserving women, celebrating your journey and reflecting on your path to here. Only entries completed on this page will be eligible for selection.

How it Works
A fully custom session created in collaboration with a thoughtful photographer and your innermost desire to really be known as you truly are.
From first conversation
Our first meeting will take place over the phone when we finalize your booking details - after that, we’ll meet again in person (or via Zoom) to get to know each other face-to-face and nail down the vibe and intention of your session, what you’ll wear and even talk about your favorite music to get you in the zone.
Through portrait session magic
You’ll arrive at the studio downtown feeling nervous (it’s normal!) but prepared, and leave feeling joyful, empowered, and fulfilled. Sort of like the feeling you get after spending an afternoon with a good friend - loved for who you are and reminded of your value and worth. All you’ll feel now is excitement to see your finished photos!
To beautiful keepsakes
A few days after your session, while you’re still riding that high, we’ll meet again to re-live the experience. We’ll talk about how it felt and together we’ll look through everything we created. You’ll let your heart guide you to your favorites and choose the best way to preserve the memories and feelings from your day. Album? Wall Art? Both??
What’s Included
Session pre-planning and design: we’ll design your session together with intention, either in person or over Zoom. I’d love to meet you where you are, but understand if that’s too much too soon.
Wardrobe guidance: I’ll guide you as much as necessary through outfit choices that will help us capture you the way you truly want to be seen. Beyond the typical and generic advice, we’ll actually go through your closet together and choose specific outfits and vibes. You shouldn’t need to purchase anything new, but if you’d like to, we’ll go through ideas (I could even meet you at the mall, I’ve done it before!)
Fully guided photoshoot at my downtown studio: the intention is to capture authenticity, but that doesn’t mean I’ll leave you blowing in the wind. We’ll work through your session together with lots of conversation and support the whole way through
Reveal and ordering appointment: we’ll meet again a few days after your shoot to look at the art we created together. I’ll help you choose the images you’d love to see in a gorgeous custom album or as stunning art for your bedroom wall.
$300 product credit to apply toward the purchase of whatever you fall in love with.

A gentle reminder
I know the prospect of sitting for a photoshoot can feel overwhelming. This experience is designed to feel calm, supported and joyful, never pushy or salesy. If being lovingly photographed and shown yourself through the eyes of a thoughtful other feels like a gift you’d treasure, I’d be honoured to consider you.

Yes. If you are selected, you will receive a custom Come as You Are portrait experience exactly as outlined on this page, including the session and $300 product credit
To secure your place, a $190 refundable booking deposit is required. This simply confirms your commitment and secures your session date. The $190 is fully refunded upon completion of your portrait session.
Please note, the deposit becomes non-refundable if your session is cancelled or not attended. This policy is in place to protect my time and ensure the gifted spaces are taken by genuinely committed people.

The nature of these “come as you are” sessions is such that professional hair and makeup application isn’t necessary or suggested - this is about letting yourself show up just as you do on a regular day. Whether you choose to go bare-faced or do your makeup as you usually would is up to you. If you would like to incorporate this concept as part of a greater whole, let’s talk about booking you for a custom session where we can get hair and makeup in and highlight both the day to day and the done up parts of you.

No. There is no requirement to purchase. You will receive the included items as listed. You will, of course, have the option to purchase additional images and products if you fall in love with more – but that’s entirely up to you.

Photo sessions at our studio are more than just photo sessions. They’re experiences, created for you and with you, and intended to be joyful and transformative. Often, people choose to participate in these photo sessions as a method of self-care, self-discovery, or self-recognition. The process we engage in fulfills all your goals by encouraging collaboration and providing you with an opportunity to explore and express yourself just how you want to. We really see you, and we really help you to see yourself.
We’ll start by getting to know each other, which will get you more comfortable opening up to me. During our consultation call, we’ll talk about everything from your motivations to the way you would like to see yourself in your photos and the clothes you’d like to wear.
During the session, we’ll play your favorite music and chat about things that matter to you, and things that don’t matter much at all. I’ll let you move and flow as you normally do, but I’ll also direct you when you need it so you don’t feel like you’re left hanging.
Once the session is complete, we’ll look over your images together and you’ll decide which ones make your heart sing. Then, you’ll choose something to go up on your wall to remind you of your magical experience, and/or a bunch to go inside your treasured album.
You purchase only what you love. And you walk away like you’re floating on a cloud.

Yes, absolutely. These sessions are designed to tell your story in the way you want it to be told. Sometimes that includes an important person in your life. We often dedicate the majority of a session to one-on-one time, and welcome family near the end of our time together. Let’s talk about what that looks like at your consultation.
